Certification Process Steps

To get your service app certified for distribution via the Samsung Galaxy Apps Store:

  1. Design and develop your service app and, when applicable, its commercial in-app items:
    • Ensure that your service app and its in-app items meet:
    • When appropriate, increase the security of your service app.
For details, see the Application Protection Guide.
    • Ensure integration of the proper SDKs into your service app:
      • Integrate Samsung Account to provide your users with Single Sign On to your service apps and other SA SSO service apps.
For details, see Samsung Account Integration.
      • To enable selling commercial in-app items from your freely or commercially distributed service app via the planned app store(s):
        • To distribute via the Galaxy Apps Store only, integrate the In-App Purchase SDK.
For details, see Samsung In-App Purchase Integration.
        • To distribute via the Galaxy Apps Store and all OpenIAB-compliant app stores when you are NOT integrating Unity APIs, integrate the OpenIAB Library.
For details, see OpenIAB Library Integration.
        • To distribute via the Galaxy Apps Store and all OpenIAB-compliant app stores when you ARE integrating the Unity APIs, integrate the Unity OpenIAB Plugin.
For details, see OpenIAB Unity Plugin Integration.
    • Get the proper accounts for your service app and in-app item management personnel:
      • Your service app representative(s) must get a Samsung Account user account.
For details, see the Samsung Account User Accounts and Features Guide.
      • Your service app representative(s) must get the proper Seller Office distributor account:
        • To freely distribute service apps that do NOT sell commercial items, get a free account.
        • To freely distribute service apps that DO sell commercial items OR commercially distribute service apps (whether or not they sell commercial items), get a commercial account.
        • For details, see the Samsung Galaxy Apps Seller Office User Accounts Guide and the Commercial Seller Request Guide.
    • Register your development version service app and its in-app items with the Samsung Galaxy Apps Seller Office.
For details, see Samsung Seller Office Service Application Registration.
    • Finalize development of your production version service app and its in-app items.
    • Update your production version service app and in-app item registration in Seller Office (for example, ensure production distribution and pricing).

  2. Submit a Registered Service App and/or In-App Items for Certification Validation, so they can undergo:
    1. Pre-Certification Validation Phase
    2. Certification Validation Phase

  3. Manage the Progress of Certification Validation, which may include revision and resubmission for certification if your service app or its commercial items are not validated.

  4. After your service app and its commercial items are validated, manage their distribution, sales, and finances via the Samsung Galaxy Apps Seller Office:
