Service App Registration Procedure

This section presents the procedure to register your service app and its in-app items (when offered) with Samsung Seller Office, in order to distribute your service app via the Samsung Galaxy Apps store.

NOTE:  For more details about in-app items, see the In-App Item Management section.

 

The following apply to the steps in the registration procedure:        

 

To register your service app with Samsung Seller Office:

  1. Log in to your Samsung Seller Office account.
    1. In your browser, navigate to the Samsung Seller Office website (such as http://seller.samsungapps.com).
    2. If necessary, log in to your Seller Office account with your Samsung account email ID and password.

      Note: You are automatically logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
  2. Register service application platform and default language for registration information.
    1. Click Add New Application.

    2. Click [Service application platform type icon].
    3. Select Default Language: [Language used to enter registration information].
      • When distributing the service application to only one country, select the most suitable language.
      • When distributing to more than one country, you MUST select and use the English language.
        Note: In Step 3, you can add languages that will be displayable in your Samsung Galaxy Apps Store service application listing, in addition to the default language. Languages that the service application supports and displays are registered in Supported Languages.
    4. Click Next.
      Note: This procedure explains data entry for ALL fields (required and optional) in each UI page. It is recommended to click Switch to Advanced Mode in each page to display all fields and, after correctly entering or changing field entries, to click Save before leaving the page.
       
  3. Register fundamental service application information.

    1. Enter the required and optional information about your service application:
      Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a field entry is always required. A dot (•) indicates a field entry is conditional (optional or required depends on conditions).

      Application Title *

      Title name of the service application (maximum: 100 bytes).
      Each new title must be unique among ALL titles currently registered in ALL Seller Office accounts (yours and others) for EACH platform type. Duplicate titles can be registered for Android™ and Gear platforms.
      A title can be reused after a previously registered service application has been suspended AND terminated.
      Duplicate titles can be used for Tencent service applications that are distributed in China.

      Note: This title is displayable in your Galaxy Apps Store listing.

      Description *

      Brief explanation (maximum: 4000 bytes) of the service application (including a description, features, requirements, and supported languages).
      For non-English service applications, the description must contain a warning stating that the full features of the service application may not be available in devices that do not support the service application's languages.

      Note: This description is displayable in your Galaxy Apps Store listing.

      Tags

      0–15 words or phrases associated with the service application in order to aid searches.

      Note: Tags are used to search for your Galaxy Apps Store listing.

      Icon *

      Service application icon or logo file (PNG file, 512x512 pixels, less than 1024 kB).
      To upload the file, click and browse or drag and drop (when supported).

      Screenshots *

      Image files of service application screenshots to be displayed in your service application listing in the Galaxy Apps Store (minimum: 4, maximum: 8 or 7 (see note below) JPG or PNG files with 2:1 aspect ratio, minimum length: 320 pixels, maximum width: 3840 pixels).
      Click and browse, or drag and drop (when supported), to upload the files.
      When a service application YouTube™ video URL is registered:

      • The video screenshot/hyperlink is automatically put in the first screenshot location in the Galaxy Apps Store service application listing.
      • A maximum of seven screenshots can be uploaded in this field. If eight screenshots are uploaded, the eighth will not be displayed.

      Category *

      One or more Seller Office groups that best describe the service application.
      Note: Game service applications MUST be indicated by selecting at least one of the following:

      • General: (Games)
      • For Galaxy: (Game)

      For Android service applications:
      General: Root-level Galaxy Apps Store category. Only available to Samsung partners.
      Galaxy: Non-root level parent and child categories. When specified, parent and its child must be specified.

      For Gear service applications:

      Galaxy: Non-root level parent and child categories. When specified, parent and child must be specified.
      Note: Available categories and subcategories depend on the platform, binary files, permissions, and other factors.

      Typically, the service application will be listed in the Galaxy Apps Store under this category, unless otherwise required by country requirements.

      Age Restriction *

      Samsung Galaxy Apps age rating of the service application.
      The selected age rating and distribution country will determine the actual age that is displayed in your service appliction's Galaxy Apps Store listing.

      Kids Age Restriction *

      When the Kids category is selected (as a parent or child category), the proper kid's age suitable for the service application.
      For details, see Age Rating Requirements and Guidelines.

      The selected age rating and distribution country will determine the actual age that is displayed in your service app's Galaxy Apps Store listing. For details, see the Seller Office Age Rating Guide.
      When the Kids category is not selected, this field is not available.

      Rating Certificate for Available Countries

      Game industry age ratings and certificates.

      Note: Initial entries are determined by the selected Age Restriction and Kids Age Restriction fields.

      For NON-game service applications:
      Other than the default entries, there are no requirements that must be met.  However, uploading issued certificates can help establish the proper age rating of your service application.
      For game service applications: 
      Game industry age rating certificates issue to the service application MUST be scanned and uploaded. There can be data entry requirements that MUST be met.

      For each age restriction certificate issued to the service appliction by one of the listed or other issuing organizations:

      • For certificates issued by an organization not listed, upload in the ETC category.
      • If GRB and MJ/DEJUS age ratings were issued to the service application, select Age Restriction: (the issued rating).
        Note: When the service application Age Restriction * is set to 18+, the MJ/DEJUS age rating will be fixed as 18+ and cannot be changed. If the issued rating is different, note this in the certification comments.
      • Click Upload, and navigate to and select the scanned certificate JPG, PNG, or GIF image file.

      Supported Languages *

      One or more displayable languages of the service application.
      To add a language, click Add, mark one or more languages that the service application supports, and click Save.
      To delete a language, click [Language's X-box].

      Open Source URL

      For service applications that use or include open source software, the URL of the open source license (maximum: 200 bytes).

      Privacy Policy URL

      If your service application has a privacy policy that requires a separate notification, the URL (maximum: 200 bytes) of the service application privacy policy.
      Required for service applications in the Kids category (parent or child). If not [specified], the category may be changed during certification.
      Optional for all other category service applications.

      You Tube URL

      YouTube video ID (11-digit maximum: 200 bytes) of a YouTube video that is related to the service application.
      The format of the complete URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<YouTube video ID>
      The initial screenshot/hyperlink of the video will automatically be displayed in the first screenshot location of the Galaxy Apps Store service application listing.

      Copyright Holder

      Name of the copyright holder of the service application (maximum: 100 bytes).
      Required when a copyright of the service application exists.
      If a company is the holder, enter the company name. If an individual is the holder, enter the individual's name.
      When specified, the copyright holder's name is displayed in the Galaxy Apps Store listing instead of the seller's name. When not specified, the seller name will be displayed as the copyright holder.

      Support E-Mail *

      Email address of the person to whom service application end users can send inquiries to (maximum: 100 bytes).
      To auto-populate with the Seller Office account holder email, mark Use by default profile information.

      Support URL

      URL of the available end-user support site for the service application (maximum: 200 bytes).

      Notify Result

      1–20 email addresses which are notified of changes in the status of the service application registration.
    2. Click Save.
       
  4. Optional Add information in other languages for Galaxy Apps Store use.
    Note: This step is optional. Enter service application title, description, and screenshots for Galaxy Apps Store display when the user wants to see your service application listing in the alternate language. Enter tags in the alternate language to aid searching for your service application.
    1. If necessary, click Switch to Advanced Mode.
    2. For each alternate language to be displayable:
      1. Click Add.
      2. In the Add Language popup, mark the displayable language(s) and click Save.
      3. In the main screen, click Select Language tab > [Displayable language].
      4. Verify the Add Information first tab changed to the [Displayable Language].
      5. In the [Displayable Language] tab:
        1. Enter the Application Title, Description, and Tags entries in the displayable language.
        2. Drag and drop, or browse and upload, 4–8 screenshots in the displayable language. For entry details, see Step 3.a above.
    3. Click Save.
    4. Click Select Language tab > [Default language].
       
  5. Upload and register service application binary files.
    Note: Binary filenames:
    • Must be unique among all binary files registered to the service application. 
    • Must not contain spaces or special characters, but they can contain underscores. 
    • For more binary file requirements, see Service Application Binary Files.
    1. For each of the 1–10 Android platform service application binary files:

      1. Click Add binary or Add more binary.
      2. Enter the required information and upload the binary file(s):
        Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a field entry is always required. A dot (•) indicates a field entry is conditional (optional or required depends on conditions).
        • Binary * : For each binary file (maximum: 10) that makes up the service application:
          1. Click Add binary.
          2. In the Add binary popup, enter the following:
            • Resolutions * : One or more video resolutions supported by the service application:
              • Check All: Service application supports all listed resolutions.
              • [Resolution]: Service application supports the checked resolutions.
              • The setting can be changed without uploading a later binary version.
            • Google Mobile Service * : Whether or not the service application provides the user with any Google™ services (such as Google Maps™, Gmail™, and Talk).
              • Yes: The service application does provide Google services.
              • No: The service application does not provide any Google services.
              • The setting can be changed for the current binary version.
                Note: The distribution of service applications that provide the user with any Google services is prohibited in some countries (such as China) and will be automatically enforced by Seller Office.
            • Binary Upload * : Binary file of the service application.
              • Click Upload, navigate to and select the file, and click Open.
          3. Click Save.
          4. For each additional binary file, repeat the registration and upload process.
    2. For 1–10 Gear platform service application binary files:
      Note: Different binary files can be compatible with multiple devices.

      1. Click Add binary or Add more binary.
      2. Enter the required information and upload the component binary file(s):
        Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a field entry is always required. A dot (•) indicates a field entry is conditional (optional or required depends on conditions).

        Gear App Type *

        The kind of service application:
        Standalone: Gear service application based on the Tizen™ platform (such as a clock application) that can operate independently and does not need a general host application.
        Companion (Wearable): Service application that consists of a Gear application and a host‑side application.

        Caution: After saving, the Gear App Type cannot be changed by updating binary files. Gear App Type can be changed by: 1) terminating the service application after it has been certified, and 2) re‑registering the service application. However, the current service application information will be deleted.

        Binary *

        For each binary file that makes up the service app:

        1. Click Add binary.
        2. In the Add binary popup, enter the following:
          Note: ALL binary files must support the specified Gear App Type.

         

        Gear Resolution(s) *

        One or more types of video resolutions supported by the service application:
        Check All: Service application supports all listed resolutions.
        [Resolution]: Service application supports checked resolutions.
        The setting can be changed without uploading a later binary version.

         

        Google Mobile Service *

        Whether or not the service application provides any Google services (such as Google Maps, Gmail, and Talk).
        Yes: The service application does provide Google services.
        No: The service application does not provide any Google services.
        The setting can be changed without uploading a later binary version.
        Note: The distribution of service applications containing some Google services are prohibited in some countries (such as China) and will be automatically excluded from those countries.

         

        Binary Upload *

        Binary file of the service application.
        Click Upload, navigate to and select the binary file, and click Open.
        If file uploading is interrupted, the same file can be re-uploaded after clicking Yes in a Continue from the previous upload popup and continuing from the previous upload.

         

        1. Click Save.
        2. For each additional binary file, repeat the registration and upload process.
    3. Review the information about the added binary file(s):

      1. Review the basic information about the files:

        No

        Index number assigned to the binary file based on order of adding files.

        Version

        Latest version code and name of the binary file.

        File Name

        Filename, number of bytes, and status of binary file processing:
        Registering: The file for a new service application is being registered or the file for a registered service application is being changed.
        In registration: The file has completed or failed certification OR its free/commercial status has been changed.
        Pre-certification: The file is undergoing Samsung pre-certification.
        Certification: The file is undergoing Samsung certification.
        Rejected: The file has failed certification or cannot be certified.
        Passed: The file has successfully completed certification.
        On sale: The file is currently being distributed (freely or commercially) OR the file is NOT being distributed and is waiting for the specified Selling Start date to start being distributed.

        Device

        Number of devices that are compatible with the binary file AND are currently being distributed in the Galaxy Apps Store.

        Modify

        Icon button to change info and upload a later version of the binary file.

        Delete

        Icon button to permanently remove the binary file.
      2. To review and change the selection for distribution in the Galaxy Apps Store of devices (phone, tablet, and other types) that are compatible with each registered service application binary file:
        1. If necessary, click Switch to Advanced Mode.
        2. Click Selected Device(s).

        3. In the Detailed Device Settings popup:
          Note: Upon initial display, the popup shows the current status of each device. For Gear service applications, Gear devices are listed in the Virtual Device Group.
          1. Review the compatible device information:

            Device(s) has (have) been selected

            When the popup was initially displayed, the total number of devices that are compatible with one or more service application binary files AND are selected for distribution in the Galaxy Apps Store.
            Changes are not indicated until after the popup is saved and closed.

            Binary Number

            Mouse-over the number to display the binary filename.
            On Sale check mark indicates the binary file is currently being distributed in the Galaxy Apps Store.

            Check All

            Selects / unselects all devices in all groups, whether their group is expanded or collapsed.
            For select / unselect details, see the [Device listing] field below.

            Group Title Bar

            Expands / collapses the list of devices in the group type.

            Device listing

            For each listed device / binary file combination, the status of compatibility and distribution of the binary to the device in the Galaxy Apps Store:
            No checkbox: The device is NOT compatible with the binary, which cannot be selected for distribution.
            Empty checkbox: The device is compatible with the binary, which is NOT selected for distribution.
            Red checkmark: The device is compatible with the binary, which IS selected for distribution, BUT is NOT currently being distributed.
            On Sale checkmark: The device is compatible with the binary, which is selected for distribution, AND is currently being distributed.
            Note: Each listed device is compatible with at least one binary file.
          2. To change the distribution status of a device, click [Binary file / device checkbox].
            Note: Duplicate devices discovered when verifying application titles cannot be selected.
          3. To register the changes made and close the popup, click Save.
          4. To NOT register any changes made and close the popup, click Cancel.
      3. To determine what specific features make a device NOT compatible with a binary file:
        1. If necessary, click Switch to Advanced Mode.
        2. Click Non-recommended Device(s).

        3. In the Check compatibility of non-recommended devices popup:
          1. Select the following:

            [Left field]

            Type of device to be checked.

            [Center field]

            Specific device within the selected type to be checked.

            Select binary

            Registered binary file to be checked.
          2. Click Confirm.
          3. Review the device compatibility information:

            [Feature List]

            The features supported by the device AND the features specified in the binary file.

            [Device Line]: For each listed feature, whether or not the device supports the feature.
            [Binary File Line]: For each listed feature:
            • [Red text]: How the binary file is NOT compatible with the feature.
            • [No text]: The binary file is compatible with the feature.

            Resolution

            Video resolution information.

            [Device Line]: Video resolution(s) supported by the device.
            [Binary File Line]: Video resolution(s) NOT supported by the binary file that are supported by the device.
          4. Click Close.
      4. To distribute your service application in a certain device group:
        1. In the Check compatibility of non-recommended devices popup, note how the service application binary file(s) is not compatible with the non-recommended device.
        2. Make the necessary changes to make the service application binary file(s) compatible.
        3. Upload the new file(s).
        4. In the Detailed Device Settings popup, ensure the device is selected.
      5. To review detailed information about a file:
        1. If necessary, click Switch to Advanced Mode.
        2. Click [File's version ID, number, or name].

        3. Review the detailed information:

          Version Code

          Integer value that represents the version of the service application code in the binary file relative to other versions.

          Version Name

          String value that represents the release version of the service application code in the binary file, for display to others.

          Updated

          Local time (in local format) that the binary file was last registered.

          Device Recommendation Information

          General information about the binary file:
          Package Name: Title name of the Android binary file.
          Package ID: Unique IDentifier of the Gear binary file.
          API (minSdkVersion): Lowest Android API level that the binary file is compatible with.
          API (maxSdkVersion): Highest Android API level that the binary file is compatible with.
          Note: Android API level identifies the framework API revision offered bybut is NOTthe Android version number.
          [Device Feature]: Whether the binary file supports/uses the following device features as stated (green check mark) OR does not as stated (no check mark).

          For details, see section 3.2.6. Service App Manifest File Listing Requirements of the Samsung Seller Office Service Application Certification Guide.

          Galaxy Specials Information
          (Android files only)

          Whether the binary file has integrated each Galaxy Special SDK (green checkmark) OR has not integrated the (no check mark):
          • Samsung Developer SDK
          • Samsung IAP SDK
          • S Pen SDK
          • Group Play SDK
          • S Health SDK
          • Smart Connectivity SDK
          • Music Studio SDK
          • PEN.UP SDK

          Additional Information

          Whether the binary file supports/provides the following as stated (green check mark) OR does not (no check mark):
          VOIP: The file supports VoIP.
          Google Mobile Service: The file provides Google mobile services to users.

          Resolution(s) (Android files only)

          Video resolutions supported by the binary file.

          Gear Resolution(s) (Gear files only)

          Video resolutions supported by the binary file.
        4. To hide the details, click [File's version ID, number, or name].
    4. To change information about the current version or upload a later version of an added binary file:
      1. Click the file's [Modify Pencil-icon].
      2. In the Add binary popup, change the necessary information and upload a later version of the binary file (Android service application: Step 5.a above, Gear service app: Step 5.b above). 
    5. To delete an added binary file:
      1. Click the file's [Delete X-icon].
      2. In the Notice popup, click Yes.
    6. Click Save.
       
  6. Set the service application distribution pricing, countries, and availability date range.
    Caution: When a service application is switched between free and paid, current Price and Country settings are reset.
    1. Click Country & Price.
    2. For a freely distributed service application (whether or not it sells commercial items):

      Enter the required and optional information about the service app:
      Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a field entry is always required. A dot (•) indicates a field entry is conditional (optional or required depends on conditions).

      Price *
      Service application distribution:
      Free: The service application can be downloaded from the Galaxy Apps Store without a user payment.

      Country *

      Countries the service application is to be made available to Galaxy Apps Store users (distribution country):
      Note: Lower settings can affect hierarchically higher settings. After making lower selections, ensure higher selections are as desired.

      Checkmark:            
      • When SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps becomes available…
      • To automatically add a country when the Galaxy Apps Store initially becomes available in the country.

      Check All: Selects/unselects all regions and all countries.
      Region Name: Selects/unselects all countries in the region.
      Country Name: Selects/unselects the country.

      Note: There are restrictions based on other registration settings. When a selected country contradicts a restriction, the country will be automatically changed to NOT selected. For details, see Country Distribution.
      Caution: If no country or region is selected, the service application will NOT be available via the Galaxy Apps Store.

      Selling Starts

      Date that distribution of the service application in the Galaxy Apps Store will begin.
      [Date entered or selected]: Listing and distribution will start on the specified date OR the day of service application approval, whichever is later.
      CheckmarkDefault  Selling starts on the day of approval.
      Listing and distribution will start on the day of service application approval.

      Selling Ends

      Date that distribution of the service application in the Galaxy Apps Store will stop.
      [Date entered or selected]: Listing and distribution will stop at the beginning of the specified date (00:00:00 local time).
      Checkmark: Default  Permanent.
      Listing and distribution will NOT stop until this setting is changed to a specified date.
    3. For a commercially distributed service application (whether or not it sells commercial items):

      1. Enter the required and optional information about the service application:
        Note: An asterisk (*) indicates a field entry is always required. A dot (•) indicates a field entry is conditional (optional or required depends on conditions).

        Price *

        Service application type of distribution and standard price of the service application:
        Paid: The service application can be downloaded from the Galaxy Apps Store after the user makes a payment.
        USD ($): Standard USD price in United States of America dollars that determines the default country-specific price for all distribution countries.
        However, other factors can override the default country-specific price. 
        For each distribution country, the price displayed in the Galaxy Apps Store that the user must pay in the local currency to download the service application will be the country-specific price at the time of the transaction.

        For details, see the Specific Price for a Country/Region section in the Country field below.
        For more service application and commercial item pricing details, see Service Application Pricing.

        When the USD amount is correctly specified, click Apply.
        To change the USD amount, enter a new price and click Apply.

        Payment Method

        One or more methods available to the user to pay for the service application when supported in a distribution country and not overridden by selecting phone bill payment: Credit Card, Micropayment, PayPal®, Phone Bill, Cyber Cash, Qiwi, Pre-Paid Card, and WebMoney.

        Red check: The method is available to users in supporting countries and cannot be made unavailable UNLESS overridden by phone bill payment.
        Blue / empty checkbox: The method can be made unavailable or available to users in supporting countries. To change the method's availability, click [Method's checkbox].

        Note: Credit card and phone bill payment (if selected) are the default methods of payment.
        Payment method(s) can vary based on the distribution country. 
        For billing details, click How will billing fee be paid by payment methods?.

        For more payment method details, see the Country field below and see Payment Methods.

        Country *

        Countries to which the service application is to be distributed via the Galaxy Apps Store, and optional price and phone bill payment for each country.

        Distribution Country
        Note: Lower settings can affect hierarchically higher settings. After making lower selections, ensure higher selections are as desired.

        Checkmark: When SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps becomes available… : To automatically distribute the service application to a country when it initially becomes available in the Galaxy Apps Store.
        Check All: Selects/unselects all regions and all countries.
        Region Name: Selects/unselects all countries in the region.
        Country Name: Selects/unselects the country.
        Note: There are restrictions based on other registration settings. When a selected country contradicts a restriction, the country will be automatically changed to NOT selected. For details, see Country Distribution.  

        Caution: If no country or region is selected, the service application will NOT be available anywhere via the Galaxy Apps Store.
         

        Service Application Payment
        Service application payment methods, price, and phone bill payment specific to a distributed country or to countries in a distributed region.
        To expand/collapse a geographical region, click [Region's title bar].

        Payment Methods
        For each country/region, payment method icons indicate the payment methods available to Galaxy Apps Store users.

        Specific Price for a Country/Region
        Note: For each separate country, each country-specific price can be set independently. For each regional block of countries, its country‑specific price setting applies to all countries in the block.
        Initially, the country-specific price displayed is determined by the standard USD price of the service application and the current daily rate of exchange.
        For each country, a specific price can be set that overrides the localized standard price.

        Phone Bill Payment
        For countries with carrier agreements, phone bill payment can be made the automatic payment method, which will cause: phone bill payment to override all other available payment methods, and carrier tier price options to override the current country-specific price.

        Country *

        To apply phone bill payment to all available countries:

        1. Click Check All (Apply Phone Bill)​.
        2. For each country, follow the next procedure.

        To apply/UNapply phone bill payment to a specific available country:

        1. Click [Country's Apply Phone Bill].
          Note: If only one carrier and one price tier is available, that price will be applied. Skip to Step 5 below.
        2. Click Carrier Prices.
        3. In the Carrier prices popup:

          1. Review the available price tiers (blue text) for the available carrier(s). 
            Note: Galaxy Apps is not responsible for any loss incurred due to user negligence in checking prices.
          2. Click Close​.
        4. Select the [Country's specific price]: (Suitable carrier tier price for your service application).
          Note: NO carrier tier price is recommended, including the country-specific price that is initially displayed upon selecting phone bill payment.
        5. Ensure the [Country's specific price] is suitable. The equivalent standard USD price (in USD $) is indicated below.
        Note: For more payment details, see Country Distribution.

        Selling Starts

        Date that commercial distribution of the service application will begin.

        [Date entered or selected]:

        Checkmark:

        Listing and distribution will start on the specified date OR the day of service application approval, whichever is later.

        Default  Selling starts on the day of approval.
        Listing and distribution will start soon after service application approval.

        Selling Ends

        Date that commercial distribution of the service application will stop.

        [Date entered or selected]:

        Checkmark:

         

        Listing and distribution will start on the specified date OR the day of service application approval, whichever is later.

        Default  Permanent.
        Listing and distribution will NOT stop until this setting is changed to a specified date.
      2. Click Save.
         
  7. Register commercial items to the service application.
    Note: Only Android service applications can sell commercial items to end-user Samsung devices that have the following installed: Samsung Galaxy Apps Client, Samsung Billing Client, Samsung Account Client, and Samsung In-App Purchase Client. You must have a commercial seller account, the service application can be freely or commercially distributed, and the registered service application binary files must integrate In-App Purchase and indicate they support IAP in their manifests. Items must be registered in order for sales to be processed. However, for development and IAP integration testing prior to deployment, items may be registered prior to the service application being submitted for certification.
    1. Click [In-App Purchase icon].
    2. When prerequisites for this step have NOT been met, the following screen is displayed:

      1. To request commercial seller status, click GO.
      2. To go to the Samsung Developer In-App Purchase website, click In App Purchase Guide.
    3. When all prerequisites for this step have been met, the Item Group List screen is displayed.
    4. Review information about the commercial item group registered to the service application by Seller Office:

      Item Group ID

      IDentifier of the group of items.
      This ID is assigned by Seller Office and cannot be changed. The ID is used to support your service application (for example, during email communication).

      Item Group Title

      Descriptive title name of the group.
      This title can be changed for your own purposes. The title can be identical to another item group registered to your or any other service application.
      1. To change the item group title:
        1. Click Modify.
        2. In the Item Group Title popup:
          1. Enter the new title.
          2. Click Save.
      2. To open the Samsung Developers In-App Purchase website, click Guide Link.
      3. To review the In-App Purchase Guide, click PDF Guide.
    5. To register a commercial item via a popup:
      1. Click Add Item.
      2. In the Add Item popup:

          Note: For details about item pricing, payment method, and country factors, click the links provided.

          Item ID *

          IDentifier of an item (16–100 bytes) in the group.
          When this item is sold (during code testing and after Galaxy Apps Store distribution), this item ID must be specified in the Samsung In-App Purchase startPayment() API call.
          Caution: The Item ID entry CANNOT be changed after the page is saved. Ensure its entry is correct. To change an Item ID, the item must be deleted and re-registered.

          Item Title *

          Descriptive title name of the item (0–100 bytes).
          This title can be changed. The title can be identical to another item registered to the service application or any other service application.

          Item Type *

          Type of commercial item:

          • Consumable: Each item can be purchased one or more times, and can be used one time.
          • Non-consumable ‡: Each item can only be purchased one time, and can be used any number of times.
          • Non-recurring.
          • subscriptions ‡: Each item can be purchased one time, and is delivered on a scheduled basis for the specified duration. Cannot be automatically resubscribed. Delivered items are available for use, even after subscription termination.
          • Auto-recurring subscriptions: Each item can be purchased one or more times, and is delivered on a scheduled basis for the specified duration. Can be automatically resubscribed. Delivered items are always available for use, even after termination of the subscription.
          ‡  Non-consumable and non-recurring subscription items are only supported by In-App Purchase version 2.0 and above.
          Note: Non-consumable and both types of subscription items previously purchased can be recovered even after the service application is deleted and reinstalled.

          Caution: The Item Type entry CANNOT be changed after the page is saved. Ensure its entry is correct. To change an Item Type, the item must be deleted and re-registered.

          Duration *

          Non-recurring subscription items ONLY

          Length of time (months) for which subscription items are delivered in one subscription pay period.

          [Integer number]: One pay period lasts the specified number of months.
          Caution: Duration cannot be changed in the review or update stages after the page is saved. Ensure it is correct.

          Payment Cycle *

          Auto-recurring subscription items ONLY

          Length of time basis of one subscription pay period.
          Monthly: Currently, each pay period lasts one month.

          Free Trial Period *

          Auto-recurring subscription items ONLY

          Whether or not the subscription is initially delivered without cost for a specified length of time (after which subscription pay periods apply).
          Not available: There is no initial subscription time without cost.
          [Time period]: The subscription is initially delivered without cost for the specified time.

          Description *

          Brief, explanation of the item (such as its purpose, 16–1000 bytes).

          Item Image

          Image file of the item to be displayable in the Galaxy Apps Store service application listing (JPG or GIF file, 135 x 135 pixels, less than 500 kB).
          Click Upload, and navigate to and select the image file.

          Price *

          Standard USD item price in United States of America dollars that determines the default country-specific item price for all distribution countries.
          However, other factors can override the default country-specific item price. For each distribution country, the price displayed in the service application that the user must pay in the local currency to purchase the item will be the country-specific item price at the time of the transaction. 

          For details, see the Specific Price for a Country/Region section in the Country field below. For more service application and commercial item pricing details, see Service Application Pricing.

          When the USD amount is correctly specified, click Apply.
          To change the USD amount, enter a new price and click Apply.

          Payment Method*

          One or more methods available to the user to pay for the item when supported in a country and not overridden by phone bill payment: Credit Card, Micropayment, PayPal, Phone Bill, Cyber Cash, Qiwi, Pre-Paid Card, and WebMoney.

          • Red checkmark:  The method is available to users in supporting countries and cannot be made unavailable UNLESS overridden by phone bill payment.
          • Blue/empty checkbox: The method can be made unavailable or available to users in supporting countries. To change the method's availability, click [Method's checkbox].

          Country *

          Item payment methods, price, and phone bill payment specific to a distributed country or to all countries in a service application distributed region selected for the item's service application:
          To expand/collapse a geographical region, click [Region's title bar].


          Payment Method Icons
          For each country/region, payment method icons indicate the available payment methods.

          Specific Price for a Country/Region
          Note: For each region with separate country settings, each country‑specific item price can be set independently. 
          For each regional block of countries, a setting applies to all countries in the block.

          Initially, the default country-specific price displayed is based on the standard USD item price and the current daily rate of exchange.
          For each country, a country-specific item price can be set. Whenever the country-specific item price is below the country minimum item price.

          Phone Bill Payment
          For countries with carrier agreements, phone bill payment can be made the automatic payment method, which will cause: phone bill payment to override all other available payment methods, and cause carrier tier price options to override the current country-specific price. 

          To apply the phone bill payment method to all countries:

          1. Click Check All (Apply Phone Bill).
          2. For each country, follow the next procedure.

          To apply/unapply phone bill payment method for a specific country:

          1. Click [Country's Apply Phone Bill].
            Note: If only one carrier and one price tier is available, that price will be applied.  Skip to Step 5 below.
          2. Click Carrier Prices.
          3. In the Carrier prices popup:

            1. Review the available price tiers (blue text) for the available carrier(s). 
            2. Click Close​.
          4. Select the [Country's specific price]: (Carrier price tier for your service application to be downloaded in the Galaxy Apps Store).
          5. Ensure the [Country's specific price] is acceptable. The equivalent standard price (in USD $) is indicated below.
          Note: For payment details, see Country Distribution.
        2. Click Save.
    6. To register many commercial items listed in a Certification Self Checklist spreadsheet:
      Note: ONLY consumable, non-consumable, and non-recurring subscription items can be registered via the spreadsheet. Currently, auto-recurring subscription items CANNOT be. ONLY required fields can be specified in the spreadsheet.     
      1. Click Item Bulk Upload.
      2. In the Item Bulk Upload popup:

        1. Click Download Excel Form.
          Note: The Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet downloaded from the popup MUST be used.
        2. In the Itembulkupload_sample spreadsheet:
          1. For each item, enter the item information in the spreadsheet.
            For item information details, see Step e.ii.1. above.
          2. Save the spreadsheet locally.
        3. Click Upload.
        4. In the open file window, navigate to and select the file, and then click Open.
        5. Click Save.
    7. Review the information about the commercial items registered to the service app:

      Item ID

      IDentifier of an item in the group.

      Item Title

      Descriptive title name of the item.

      Item Type

      Type of commercial item.

      Duration

      For subscription items ONLY, the length of time (months) that subscription items are delivered in one subscription pay period.

      Prices

      Standard USD item price of the item.

      For details about the field entries, see Step 7.e.ii.1 above.

    8. To change an item after it has been added:
      1. In the Item Group List, click [Item's title].
      2. In the Update Item popup, make changes.
        Settings can be changed to field entries EXCEPT Item ID, Item Type, and Duration.
        For details, see Step 7.e.ii.1 above.
        Caution: After saving, changes will be applied immediately, EXCEPT for users currently making a payment for which changes will be displayed 30 seconds after their payment. 
      3. Click Save.
    9. To delete an item after it has been added:
      1. Click [Item Title's X-box icon].
      2. In the confirmation popup, click OK.
         
  8. Register service application information related to certification.

      In English only, information to aid certification evaluation (maximum: 4000 bytes).
      Required: For initial submittal of the service application:

      • Service application login info (valid user name/ID and password), temporary login ID and password, fake card number for testing at the bottom for certification evaluation.
      • Explanation of why the service application does not meet requirements with the word should.
        ​For resubmittal of the service application after an update or QA certification failure:
        • All changes made from the previous version.
        • Changes made to address all failure issues.
          Note: If required information is omitted, certification may be rejected.
      Optional: For initial submittal or resubmittal of the service application:
      • Additional information (such as developer comments).
      • Information to prevent unnecessary certification QA failures (such as the concept of the application, self-test results, precautions to be taken while testing the application).

      Attach materials for requesting certification

      Upload a document (less than 1 MB) that includes information to be referenced during certification (such as the results of self-testing and proof of copyright).

      Attach the result of self testing

      Upload a completed Samsung Developers Self‑Check List (Mobile Galaxy) document containing the criteria and results of service application testing performed by its developers.
