Specifying Binary File Aspects and Features

The following specifications, in the binary manifest file or via the Seller Office UI, are used to declare whether additional features are supported or not supported by the binary file.

Basic Information
(specified in the binary file manifest file)

API(minSdk)

For each type of binary file, the lowest API level supported by the binary file when the indicated setting is not specified OR when both the indicated and minSdk settings are NOT specified, the indicated default value is used:

.apk   The specified minSdkVersion value OR minSdk OR the default value 1.

.wgt   The specified API version value of the config.xml OR minSdk OR the default value 1.

.tpk    The specified required_version value of the tizen-manifest.xml file OR minSdk OR the default value 2.3.1.

App ID(Package Name)*

Application package name (text string, length: 1000).

Package ID

ONLY for Tizen™ Gear binary files (.tpk), the ID of the binary package (length: 1000).

Version Code*

Sequential numeric value of the service app code version (integer, binary version length: 1000).

Version Name*

Value (text string, length: 1000, format: no limit) of the service app code version, which is displayed in the Samsung Galaxy Apps Store.

Galaxy Specials Information
(specified in the binary file manifest file)

 

Samsung developer SDK

For each Galaxy Specials category, whether or not the binary supports the category:

Enable       The binary supports the category.

Disable     Default The binary does not support the category.

When a category is not specified in the binary manifest, that category is disabled.

Note: When the binary file supports at least one of the eight Galaxy Specials features, the Galaxy Specials category can be selected in the Seller Office UI.

Additional Information

VoIP
(specified in the binary file manifest file)

Whether or not the binary supports VoIP:

Enable       The binary supports VoIP.

Disable     Default The binary does not support VoIP.

If there is no configuration in the manifest, it is recognized as ‘Disable’.

Google™ Mobile Service
(specified in the Seller Office UI)

Whether or not the binary provides the end user with one or more Google Mobile Services:

Enable       The binary provides Google Mobile Services.

Disable     Default The binary provides Google Mobile Services.

Companion (Host) Deeplink
(specified in the binary file manifest file)

Galaxy Apps Store

For each supported app store, the Deeplink URL for installing Companion (Host) apps.

Extracted only for Companion (Wearable) Gear applications.
