Rich Notification Retention and Deletion

Rich Notification message retention and how to delete messages

On the Gear device, up to 50 of the most recent rich notifications per RN Android™ app are retained. After the limit is reached, the RN Manager will permanently delete the oldest rich notification in order to store the most recent rich notification.

Your Android app can permanently delete (dismiss) any rich notification currently stored on the Gear device by specifying the UUID of the previously sent rich notification. Gear users can manually delete a rich notification via a delete UI button available to the user.

Upon deletion, a callback is initiated, which can be received by an event listener. For details about RN callback event listeners, see Managing Rich Notification Callbacks.

SrnRichNotificationManager

Note:  Deleted rich notifications cannot be updated or dismissed.
