Get and Manage a Commercial Seller Office Account

After you get a non-commercial Seller Office account, you can get a commercial Seller Office account to publish and  manage your free and commercial apps

After you fill in and submit your commercial Seller Office account request (as an individual developer or for your development company) , Samsung will review your information, documents, and files.  We notify you via email about your request (typically, in a few days).  After your request is approved, you can register and manage your commercial and free applications.

 

To get a commercial Seller Office account:

  • Get a non-commercial Seller Office account.

  • Review the most common reasons that account requests are not successful.
  • Russian sellers can only register private seller information; all other sellers can register private or corporate seller information.

  • Get scanned image files (5MB or less, JPG format) of the following documents:

    • Korean sellers:

      • Private sellers:

        • Resident registration number

        • Official personal identification document that identifies you and your nationality (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When required, residency documentation (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account, your personal Korean bank account detail documents (for details, see Proof  of Bank Account* below)

      • Corporate sellers:

        • Business registration certification

        • Online sales business registration certificate

        • Smartbill membership information and verification

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account, your company's Korean bank account detail documents (Proof  of Bank Account* below)
           

    • Chinese sellers:

      • Private sellers:

        • Official personal identification document that identifies you and your nationality (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When required, residency documentation (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account:
          • Your personal Chinese bank account detail documents (for details, see Proof  of Bank Account* below)
          • The bank account must be able to receive renminbi (RMB).
      • Corporate sellers:

        • Business registration certification, which can be in Chinese or English

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account:

          • Your company's Chinese bank account detail documents (for details, see Proof  of Bank Account* below)

          • The bank account must be able to receive renminbi (RMB).
             

    • Private Russian sellers: do not need to provide any documentation.
       
    • All other sellers:

      • Private sellers:

        • Official personal identification document that identifies you and your nationality (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When required, residency documentation (for details, see A Copy of Passport or ID Card* below)

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account, your personal bank account detail documents (for details, see Proof  of Bank Account* below)

      • Corporate sellers:

        • Business registration certification

        • When your remittance is directed to a bank account, your company bank account detail documents (for details, see Proof  of Bank Account* below)
           

    • All types of private and corporate sellers:

      • Submitted documents must match the information provided in your profile. 

      • For Korean sellers, the documents can be in Korean or English. For Chinese sellers, the documents can be in Chinese or English. For all other sellers, the documents must be in English except as noted above.  

      • Names must match on all of the following that apply to your request: Seller Office account request, personal identification documents, residency documents, business registration certification, online sales business registration certification, Smartbill membership, bank account documents, PayPal account documents, and Alipay account documents.
         

  1. In a browser, navigate to the Galaxy Apps Seller Office webpage (https://seller.samsungapps.com/).

    1. When signed out of your Samsung account:

      4. Click Sign in.
         
    2. When signed in to your Samsung account in your Seller Office home webpage:

      1. In the Basic Information section, enter or select information about the person who will interact with Samsung about Seller Office and Samsung app store about you or your company apps.
        Note: Information entered in this section can only contain: alphabetical letters, numbers, and special characters available on the keyboard.
         

        E-Mail

        Your Samsung account e-mail address

        Note: This is automatically entered and cannot be changed.

        Title Your gender title: Mr. (male) or Ms. (female)

        First Name*

        Your given name, first in English and then in your local language

        Last Name* Your surname or family name, first in English and then in your local language

        Name (Native Language)*

        Your full name in your native language characters

        This is used to check your name in the documents you provide.

        Country*

        The country you entered in the Sign Up Now/Seller Type and Country webpage.

        Note: This is automatically entered and cannot be changed in this page.

        Address 1* Your building and street mailing address
        Address 2 Additional mailing address information
        ZIP / Postal Code* Your mailing code used by your postal service
        State / Region Name of your sub-country governance area
        City* Name of your municipality or town

        Phone Number*

         

        Your country's telephone prefix code

        The telephone number at which you want to be contacted.


         
      2. In the Financial Information section, enter the information about how Samsung is to send you or your company the profits of your app sales and/or your in-app item sales.
         

        Minimum Remittance*

        Lowest amount (USD, $50.00 or more) of accumulated monthly profits that are to result in payout

        Note:  Accumulated monthly profits below this amount will not be paid out that month, but will contribute to the next month's accumulated monthly profit for payout purposes.

        In some cases, you may be required to pay handling fees for overseas transactions. Please consider this when you set the minimum remittance amount. Any changes to the amount will apply from the first day of the next month.

        Payment Account*

         

        Type of financial account to send you the remittance for your app and in-app item sales profits:

        Bank Account - Financial institution account
        (not available to Russian sellers; available to all others)

        PayPal - Online financial transaction service account
        (not available to Chinese sellers; must be used by Russian sellers; available to all others)

        AliPay - Online financial transaction service account
        (available only to Chinese sellers)

         
        1. When using a bank account:
          Note: All sellers are responsible for all fees incurred due to incorrectly entered account information.
          Korean sellers must register a Korean bank account.
          Chinese sellers must register a Chinese bank account that can receive renminbi (RMB).
          All other sellers must register a bank account that can receive and send U.S. dollars (USD).
          1. For Korean sellers:
            1. Enter the following Korean bank account information:
              Bank Name (Beneficiary Bank)* Name of the banking institution that issued the bank account

              Account Number*

              ID number of the bank account issued to you personally or to your company

              For European banks, this ID must include the bank's IBAN code without the 'IBAN' prefix (for example, when the bank's IBAN code is 'IBANIT09Q03001503200USD013000300', then the following is to be included along with the individual account identification code: 'IT09Q03001503200USD013000300').

              Account Holder* Name of the person or company the bank account was issued to
            2. Submit the information for certification by clicking Confirm.
            3. If your bank account is certified, then you do not have to enter the bank account information in step 1.d.ii.1.b. and do not have to upload bank documents in step 1.d.iii. 
            4. If your bank account is not certified, do perform step 1.d.ii.1.b.
               
          2. For all other sellers and for Korean sellers whose account cannot be certified via step 1.d.ii.1.a., enter the following information in English.
             
            Account Country* Country of record for the banking institution
            Bank Name (Beneficiary Bank)* Name of the banking institution that issued the bank account
            Branch Name* Name of your branch office of the bank
            Branch Address* Mailing address of your branch office of the bank

            Account Number*

            Identification number (alphanumeric characters only) of the bank account issued to you personally or to your company

            For banks governed by the ECBS (see below), this number must include the bank's IBAN code without the 'IBAN' prefix (for example, when the bank's IBAN code is 'IBANIT09Q03001503200USD013000300', then the following is to be included along with the individual account identification code: 'IT09Q03001503200USD013000300').

            Account Holder* Name of the person or company the bank account was issued to

            Swift Code*

             

            For all banking institutions, your bank's Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) code (alphanumeric characters only)

            SWIFT codes are used when transferring money between banks, particularly for international wire transfers.  Your bank's SWIFT code may be printed on your account statement.  While code formats can vary, it is commonly from 8 to 11 digits (for example, Unicredit Banca's Venice branch has a SWIFT code of UNCRIT2B912). 

            BIC/IBAN Code of Intermediary Bank

             

            Only for banking institutions governed by the European Committee for Banking Standards (ECBS), your bank's International Bank Account Number (IBAN) code without the 'IBAN' prefix.

            ECBS governs banks in most European countries and countries in other parts of the world (mainly the Middle East and the Caribbean). IBAN codes facilitate cross-border banking transactions. IBAN code formats vary by country, and can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters (for example, a Saudi Arabia bank can have an IBAN code of SA0380000000608010167519).

        2. When using a PayPal account:
           

          PayPal Account*

          ID of the account issued by PayPal to you or to your company

          Note:  In countries where PayPal is restricted, money transfer will not be available through PayPal, and PayPal is responsible for the PayPal process after the money has been transferred to a seller. 


           
        3. When using an Alipay account:
           

          Alipay Account*

          ID of the account issued by Alipay to you or to your company

          Note:  Alipay transactions are only permitted in China. After a payment is made to a seller, legal responsibilities and duties for the Alipay transaction process will be imposed on Alipay.

 

  1. In the Submit Documents section, upload the required files (5MB or less, JPG format).
     

    A Copy of Passport or ID Card*

    For private sellers:

    • Private sellers in Russia do not need to submit any of the following.
    • Private sellers in Korea:
      • Must submit their resident registration number.
      • Must submit official document(s) that identify you (including personal information and a photograph of you) and your nationality (for example, your passport, driver's license, or resident ID card issued by a governmental agency)
        • Passport documents must have photograph(s) that show both sides of your face.
      • If your current residential address is not in your country of nationality:
        • You must submit proof of residency in the country you are currently residing in. 
        • If you are currently a student, must submit proof of your student status.
           
    • Private sellers in all other countries:
      • Must submit official document(s) that identify you (including personal information and a photograph of you) and your nationality (for example, your passport, driver's license, or resident ID card issued by a governmental agency)
        • Passport documents must have photograph(s) that show both sides of your face.
      • If your current residential address is not in your country of nationality:
        • You must submit proof of residency in the country you are currently residing in. 
        • If you are currently a student, must submit proof of your student status.
           
    • For all required private seller documents:
      • Chinese and Korean sellers can submit documents in Korean or English. 
        All other sellers must submit documents in English.
      • The following are not acceptable:
        • Documents in a local language other than the language(s) specified above
        • Handwritten documents
        • Documents produced by an individual person
           

    For corporate sellers:

    • Corporate sellers in Korea must submit:

      • Must submit their online sales business registration certificate.

      • Must submit their Smartbill membership.

      • Must submit their business registration certification.
         

    • Corporate sellers in all other countries:
      • Must submit their business registration certification.
         

    • For all required corporate seller documents:

      • Chinese and Korean sellers can submit documents in Korean or English. 
        All other sellers must submit documents in English.
      • The English name, country, and city of the business must be verifiable. 
      • The following are not acceptable:
        • Documents in a local language other than the language(s) specified above
        • When your remittance is to a bank account, the name on the business registration certification does not match the name on the bank account documents.

       

    Proof  of Bank Account*

    For private and commercial sellers who specified Payment Account*: (Bank Account):

    • If your Korean bank account was successfully certified via step 1.d.ii.1.a. above, then you do not have to submit any of the following documents.
       
    • If your Korean bank account was not certified via step 1.d.ii.1.a. above or your bank account is in any other country:
      • You must submit official copy or copies of your personal or company bank account book, proof of account, and other official documents issued by the bank that confirm you or your company are the holder of the account specified in the Financial Information section. 
      • Uploaded document(s) must include: bank name, account number (including IBAN code for European banks), name of account holder, and SWIFT code.  This information must match that entered in the Financial Information section.
      • Copies of credit cards and non-official documents will not be accepted.

     
  2. In the Comments to the Person in Charge section, enter information and upload image files to be displayed in your Gear seller page of the Gear store of Galaxy Apps.
     
    Please Enter Comments to The Person in Charge Describe and/or explain (0 to 1500 bytes) aspects of  your financial information and/or transactional processes that are not addressed by other fields in this page.

     
  3. Click Request
    Your request and uploaded documents will be reviewed, which typically takes 2 business days. 
    Upon review, Samsung will notify you via email.
     

 

  1. If the notification email indicates your request has not been granted, the email will explain why and will provide additional steps in order to successfully process your request.  Please follow the instructions in the email.

    The following are the most common reasons that commercial Seller Office account requests are not successful:
    Reason Recommended Change
    Submitted documents are in a local language other than English. Resubmit documents in English.
    Submitted documents are handwritten and/or are not official (letter envelope, card information). Resubmit documents issued by official government or business agencies.
    Seller name and account holder name do not match. Enter a seller name that exactly matches the name of the account holder and submit a copy of the bank account details.

    Required information cannot be verified by the submitted documents.

    Resubmit documents that include all of the following that pertain to your request: 

    • ID: nationality and name
    • Business registration certification: company name, country, and city
    • Bank account: account country, bank name, account number, account holder, IBAN code, and SWIFT code
    Details in uploaded files are not readable (for example, blurred or low resolution).  Resubmit scanned document files that are clearly legible.
    Online sales business registration number was not entered. Enter a valid online sales business registration number and submit a scanned copy of the online sales business registration certificate. 

     
  2. If the notification email indicates you have been issued a commercial Seller Office account, follow the link provided in the email.
     
    1. In the Sign In Now webpage:

        You can register, get certified, manage the distribution and pricing of your commercial and free apps, and manage your finances. For details, see Publishing Apps and Products.
         

 

To manage your commercial Seller Office account:

  • Review the following restrictions that apply to changing your commercial Seller Office account:

    • After you have requested or after you have your account, changing basic account information in your Profile webpage is limited.

      • Chinese sellers can change their state / region, city, or district information. 

      • All sellers can change their account password.

    • Regarding account payment details:

      • Account payment details cannot be changed between the 10th and the 25th of each month (settlement period).

      • When you change the minimum remittance amount, it will be effective on the first day of the next month.

      • If you use a bank account for remittance payment:

        • All sellers can change to another bank account.

        • Chinese sellers can change to an Alipay account, but cannot change to a PayPal account.

        • Korean sellers cannot change to an Alipay nor a PayPal account.

      • If you use PayPal for remittance payment:

        • All sellers can to another PayPal account.

        • All sellers except for Russian sellers can change to a bank account.

        • Russian sellers cannot change to an Alipay nor a PayPal account.

      • If you use Alipay for remittance payment:

        • Chinese sellers can change to another Alipay account.

        • Chinese sellers can change to a bank account.

        • Chinese sellers cannot change to a PayPal account. 
           

  • When necessary, you must submit all required documents (see To get a commercial Seller Office account: prerequisites above) that support the change to the customer support site. 

  • Get information and files (5MB or less, JPG format) of required documents and graphic images that support changes to your account.

  • To become a Samsung partner, contact Samsung and establish relations with a Samsung counterpart, who will guide you through the process.

  • Follow the applicable prerequisites for To get a commercial Seller Office account: above.
     
  1. In a browser, navigate to the Galaxy Apps Seller Office webpage (https://seller.samsungapps.com/).

    1. When signed out of your Samsung account:

      3. Enter your Samsung account email address and password.
      4. Click Sign in.
         
    2. When signed in to your Samsung account in the Seller Office home webpage:

  2. To become a Samsung partner:
    1. Click Change.

    2. In the popup:
      1. Select Partner.
      2. Enter the email address of your Samsung counterpart.
      3. Click Confirm.
         
    3. Send your counterpart an email requesting to become a partner.
      Your counterpart will then guide you through the process.
       
  3. To review and change basic and financial information for your current Seller Office account:

    1. In the Seller Office top bar, click Profile.

    2. In the Profile [Login] webpage:

      1. Enter your Samsung account Password.

      2. Click Confirm.

    3. In you Profile webpage

      1. Review your current account information.

      2. Click Edit.

      3. Enter your current Samsung account password in via the Profile [Login] webpage (see above).

    4. In the Edit Profile webpage:

      1. Enter or select new entries in fields that can be changed.
        Follow the applicable steps in To get a commercial Seller Office account: above.

      2. To add more email addresses to be sent specific notifications about your apps and account:

        1. Navigate to the Additional Contacts Information section.

        2. Enter a new email address.

        3. Checkmark the app and account notices to be sent.

      3. Enter your Samsung account Current Password*.
        Note:  To change any field, you must enter your current password.  To change your password, also enter the New Password* and Confirm Password* fields.  If you do not enter a new password, your current password will not be changed.

      4. Click Save.

      5. Enter your current or new (after a change) Samsung account password in via the Edit Profile [Login] webpage (see above).
         

  4. To permanently delete your Seller Office account:
    Caution:  This will permanently delete your Seller Office account.  Your Samsung account will remain unchanged.

    1. Navigate to your Edit Profile webpage (see above).

    2. In the Withdraw Seller Membership section, click here.

    3. In the Withdraw Seller Membership webpage:

      2. Click Withdraw Membership.
