Getting a Seller Office Account

This section describes how to get and use a free Seller Office account to distribute free apps without in-app items and free products, or get and use a commercial account to distribute commercial apps and products and free apps that sell in-app items.

The Samsung Galaxy Apps Seller Office is your UI portal to publish your apps and products, manage their distribution and sales, and manage your finances.

First, you must get a free account. Then, if needed, you can get a commercial account. The following table shows the differences between the two accounts:

Free account 

Enables you to publish and manage free apps and products:

  • Apps that users download for free and do not sell in-app purchase (IAP) items
  • Products that users download for free
    Note: Products cannot sell IAP items.

Commercial account

Enables you to publish and manage commercial apps and products:

  • Apps that users download for a price and sell IAP items
  • Apps that users download for free and sell IAP items
  • Products that users download for a price

And free apps and products:

  • Apps that users download for free and do not sell IAP items
  • Products that users download for free

Both types of accounts are based on the email address that you want Seller Office to use to contact you (Seller Office contactee) as an individual developer or a developer who represents a company. If you already have a Samsung Account user account, you can use its email address, or you can use another email address. If you use another email address, a new Samsung Account user account will be created for you, whether or not you already have a Samsung Account user account.

To get a free Seller Office account:

  1. In a browser, navigate to the Galaxy Apps Seller Office sign in/sign up page (http://seller.samsungapps.com/).

  2. Click Sign Up Now.

  3. In the Sign Up Now/Seller Type and Country webpage:
    1. Enter or select the following information:

      Type of Member *

      Your individual or company status:

      Private Seller You represent yourself, not a company.
      Corporate Seller You represent your company.

      Type of Seller *

      The Samsung Partner status of you or your company:

      Partner You or your company are registered in the Samsung Partner program.
      Developer You or your company are NOT registered in the Samsung Partner program.

      Samsung Counterpart E-Mail *

      Conditional: If you are registering as a partner seller, enter the email address of your Samsung Partner program representative.
      NOTE: You must notify your Samsung counterpart via email (independent of your Seller Office account application) that you are applying for a Seller Office account in order to be approved.

      If you are registering as a developer seller, this field is not displayed.

      Country *

      If you are registering as a private seller, the geopolitical entity where you reside.

      If you are registering as a corporate seller, the geopolitical entity that governs your company business unit.
      NOTE: If you later apply for a commercial Seller Office account, you will enter financial information based on the selected country.

    2. Click Next

  4. In the Step 1 Agree to Terms and Conditions webpage:
    1. In the SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps Seller Office section, read the documents that govern your Seller Office account:
      1. Review the Seller Office Terms and Conditions.
      2. If you agree to them, checkmark I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions*
      3. Review the Seller Office Privacy Policy.
      4. If you agree to it, checkmark I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy*
    2. In the Service Section, read the documents that govern your Samsung Account user account:
      1. Review the Samsung Account Terms and Conditions.
      2. If you agree to them, checkmark I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions*
      3. Review the Samsung Account Privacy Policy.
      4. If you agree to it, checkmark I have read and agree to the Privacy Policy*
    3. Click Next

  5. In the Step 2 Basic Information webpage:
    1. In the Basic Information section, enter or select the following individual and/or company information about the person who will interact with Seller Office:
       

      E-Mail*

      Your e-mail address

      If you enter an email address that is different from that of an existing Samsung Account, a new Samsung Account user account will also be created.

      If you enter your Samsung Account email address, click Sign In and sign in to that account.

      Password* Code that is required to access Seller Office (8 to 15 characters; case-sensitive; including at least 1 number, 1 English letter, and 1 special character; and NOT including groups of 3 or more consecutive numbers or English letters)
      Confirm Password* Enter the same password code again.
      Title* Your gender title: Mr. (male) or Ms. (female)
      First Name* Your given name
      Last Name* Your surname or family name

      Country*

      The country you entered in the Sign Up Now/Seller Type and Country webpage.

      Address 1* Your building and street mailing address
      Address 2 Additional mailing address information
      ZIP / Postal Code* Your mailing code used by your postal service
      City* Name of your municipality or town
      State / Region Name of your sub-country governance area
      Phone Number* Your country's telephone prefix code. Your telephone number at which you want to be contacted.
    2. Optional but Recommended   In the Information for Seller page, enter or select the following individual and/or company information for display in the Seller Office UI:
      NOTE:  If you do not enter information, default information will be displayed.  To support global viewers, we recommend that you enter information in English.
       
      Introduction Brief introductory description (0 to 500 bytes) of you or your company
      Seller's Home URL Main (landing page) URL of you or your company
      Seller's Help URL URL containing useful information about you or your company
      Background Image Image file (1440x1200 pixels, less than 4MB, JPG format) by clicking File Upload
      Profile Image Image file (240x240 pixels, less than 4MB, JPG format) by clicking File Upload

       
    3. Click Confirm

  6. In the Step 3 Preliminary Registration webpage:
    1. Follow the directions.
    2. In a browser, navigate to your email inbox and open the confirmation email from ???
    3. To send another confirmation email, click Resend E-Mail
    4. In the confirmation email:
      1. Record ???
      2. Click Confirm
         
  7. In the Step 4 Completion webpage,
    1. Enter or select the following individual and/or company information about the person who will interact with Seller Office:
       
         
         
         
         
         

       
    2. Click Confirm

 

 

After you have a free Seller Office account, you can publish and manage free apps and products. If you then want to publish and manage commercial apps and products, you must get a commercial Seller Office account.

 

To get a commercial Seller Office account:
  1. In a browser, navigate to the Seller Office main page or the Profile page, click the Request Commercial Status button.
  2. Complete all required Basic Information and Financial Information fields. 
  3. Submit the following required documents:
    • Business Registration Certification
    • Proof of Bank Account

NOTE: All documents must match the information provided in your profile and must be written in English. 

  1. Your Commercial Seller status will be approved upon completion of a financial review, which usually takes about 3 days. For more details, see the Seller Office Commercial Seller Request Guide.
