Manage Your In-App Items

You can register new in-app items for your IAP-integrated Android and Gear apps one at a time or several at once. You can update or delete an in-app item that you have already registered (for example, to change item pricing).

Note: In-app items registered to your app will be available to users who download any of your app's binary files. All of your app's binary files must have the same package name.

Specify the type of commercial product item for sale throughcheckCode() from within your service app when you register items with Samsung Seller Office. Product items can be goods (such as tools, weapons, energy, and life in games; books and videos; and subscriptions) or services of the supported item types.

Samsung In-App Purchase (IAP) supports the following commercial product item types:

Consumable

Each item remains available until used; however, after use, it is not available.

Items can be repurchased.

Non-Consumable

Each item, such as a book, can be used indefinitely after purchase, and it does not expire.

Items cannot be repurchased.

Note: This type cannot be tested for repurchase. However, in either test IAP operating mode, this type can undergo repeated testing that involves repurchase every 10 minutes by initializing the mode.

Non-Recurring (Short-Term) Subscriptions

Each item, such as a monthly magazine or voucher, can be used indefinitely after purchase. Before expiration, new subscribed items are periodically issued. After expiration, no new subscribed items are issued, but all previously issued items can be used indefinitely.

Items can be repurchased after expiration.

Auto-Recurring Subscriptions

Each item, such as a monthly magazine or voucher, can be used indefinitely after purchase. Before expiration, new subscribed items are periodically issued. After expiration, no new subscribed items are issued, but all previously issued items can be used indefinitely.

After the subscription time period has passed after purchase, this type will be automatically repurchased.

In developer test mode, the period for auto-recurring subscriptions is two hours. After two hours, they will be unsubscribed to support repurchase testing. This compressed time to test is only supported in developer test mode.

Before you submit your app for certification or after your app has passed certification, you can register new items and update and delete registered items. Deleting items makes them permanently unavailable. While your app and its items are undergoing certification, in-app items cannot be registered, updated, or deleted.
