Settlement Report

 

Note: Accumulated settled sales may or may not result in a settlement for a selected month.

For a month when a remittance is to be transferred to you, your can review:

  • Remittance processing status and the  estimated remittance amount and processing deductions. 
  • Paid app and in-app item settled sales data that contributes to your remittance: sales amount, cancelations, revenue, and deductions; and your payment (in local currency and USD).
    • In initial reports, settled sales data is grouped by application and sub-grouped by payment method.
    • In detailed reports, settled sales data is grouped by application and sub-grouped by purchase type (paid app or in-app item).
       

Each report can include settled sales from the following types of purchases of paid app (Android, Gear, and Theme) and in-app item (Android and Gear apps) made after the previous settlement remittance:

  • Purchases made and payment finalized in the selected month.
  • Purchases made in previous months and payment finalized in the selected month. 
  • Purchases made and finalized in previous months.
     

Reports do not include sales where payment has not yet been received for purchases made in the selected month or in previous months. Delays in settling sales depend on the country and payment method.

Reports also list the type of financial business agreement, determined by each country, that governs the relationship between you, Samsung, and third-party sale processing entities.

All listed payment amounts contribute to your settlement remittance: 

  • Your payment amounts equal your sales revenue amounts minus applicable deductions (for example, EU VAT, Samsung and Payment Gateway commissions, and other fees and taxes).
  • For sellers in countries other than South Korea:
    • A minimum transfer amount is always in effect (to reduce the impact of the remittance transfer fee), which controls remittances transferred to your financial account.

    • Your remittance equals your accumulated payment amounts that exceed your minimum transfer amount minus the overseas transfer fee.
    • For months when your accumulated payment amounts do not exceed your minimum transfer amount, your monthly earnings contribute to your accumulated payment amounts, and will result in a future settlement remittance.
       
  • For South Korean sellers:
    • A minimum transfer amount is not in effect. 
    • Your remittance always equals your total payment amounts for each month, and there is no transfer fee.
    • Remittances are transferred to your financial account.

For each report row, you can review detailed information for paid app and in-app item settled sales: app, user device group (for paid app sales), number of app or in-app item purchases, and your payment amount.

This section does not contain all information about settlement reports. For more details, see the Samsung Seller Office Terms and Conditions.

 

To review a settlement report

  • Data is included: for apps with a 'For Sale', 'Suspended',  'Beta Deployed', or 'Beta Suspended' status, for apps that were normally released, suspended, and then deleted, and for apps that were beta released, suspended, and then terminated. 
  • Data is included starting at 00:00:00 GMT on the first day and ending at 23:59:59 GMT on the last day of the selected month. All purchases are recorded at the user's local time.
  • Settlement data is updated daily.
  • After some actions, a popup requires clicking a button. Popup steps are not indicated in this procedure.
     
  1. Log in to Seller Office (http://seller.samsungapps.com)  and click Accounting > Settlement Report.
    Note: You are automatically logged out after 20 minutes of inactivity.

  2. Generate a summary.
    1. Specify the time period:

      Monthly Settlement 

      Calendar year and month (yyyy-mm)

      Click the [Calendar icon], select the year and month, and click Choice.


       
    2. Click Result.
    3. To create a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet, click Excel.
    4. To view other summary pages, click Page.
       
  3. Review the report data for settled sales that contribute to the month's settlement.
    Data is grouped by country and sub-grouped by payment method.
    One or more settled sales can contribute to data in each row.

Estimated Transfer Amount

Expected amount of your remittance to be transferred to you this month based on your accumulated payment amounts minus expected remittance processing deductions
 

Deduction

Amount of applicable remittance processing charges (for example, a transfer fee) based on settled sales

 

Settled sales information:
Data is grouped by country and sub-grouped by payment method.

Business Type

Kind of business arrangement governed by each distribution country that exists among you, Samsung, and supporting third-party entities, which includes the following differences:

Agent - You sell your apps and in-app items to your customers. You are responsible for reporting and paying the European Union value added tax (VAT). Samsung Electronics charges you a commission.

Commissionaire - Samsung buys your apps and in-app items from you. Samsung sells them to customers. Samsung reports and pays the European Union VAT, which is deducted from your income.

In countries with Commissionaire business agreements, the adjusted amounts do not include taxes, which you are responsible for paying. In all other countries, adjusted amounts do include taxes.

Payment Method

How the customer paid for the purchases

Supported payment methods include: credit card, premium SMS, carrier billing, Micropayment, PayPal®, cyber cash, Qiwi (Russia only), WebMoney (Japan only), and pre-paid card (China only). 

Settlement Period Time period (yyyy-mm-dd ~ yyyy-mm-dd, GMT) from the earliest settled sale purchase to the latest settled sale purchase
 

Sales Amount

Total amount of all paid app and in-app item prices for purchases authorized by customers

Note: Customers and other entities can later stop purchase payment.
 

Canceled Total amount of all purchases stopped by the customer or other entities, and reductions to purchase sale amounts due to refunds, bad debts, and other causes
 
Sales Revenue 'Sales Amount' value minus the 'Canceled' value
 
Samsung Commission Actual amount that Samsung charged for all purchases, including the local revenue share and a service charge
 
Transaction Fee + VAT Actual total of all purchase processing charges (for example, Payment Gateway commission) and taxes (for example, European Union Value Added Tax applied to the purchases
 

Payment

Your actual earnings from all settled sales revenue (in the local currency)

Earnings = Sales Amount - Canceled - Samsung Commission - (Transaction Fee + VAT)

Depending on the applied tax rate of a country and the fee levied by a phone carrier, you may generate lower net income from phone bill payments than from credit card payments. 

It may take up to six months for some phone carriers to conclude phone bill settlements. Therefore, the sales summaries show preliminary values based on expected fees and average accounts receivable, which may differ from the actual settled amounts. 
 

Payment (USD)

Your actual earnings in U.S. dollars

For each individual sales revenue amount, its USD equivalent is based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. Account Amount (USD) is the total of the individual USD equivalents.

 

  1. To see a detailed settled sales data, click an [Account Amount (USD) value].
    Data is grouped by application and sub-grouped by purchase type (paid app or in-app item).
