Add Binary Files for Theme Apps

Note: You must belong to the Samsung Theme Partnership program before you can develop and register Samsung Themes apps. See Get a Theme Service Partnership Account for more information.

Ensure that all binary files meet the following requirements:

  • Filenames must be unique among all binary files registered to the app. 
  • Filenames must not contain spaces or special characters; however, they can contain underscores. 
  • For more binary file requirements, see Application Binary Files.

Add binary files

  1. From your application in Seller Office, click the Binary tab.

  2. Add up to 10 binary files:
    1. Click Add binary or Add more binary.

    2. Enter the required component binary file(s) information and upload the files.
    3. Click Save.
    4. For each additional binary file, repeat this step.
  3. For each added binary file, review and manage the files:

    1. Review basic binary file information.

    2. Click the number next to Selected Device(s) to review and change the selection of devices (phone, tablet, and other types of devices) that are compatible with each registered application binary file for distribution in the Galaxy Apps Store.


      Note: Upon initial display, the Detailed Device Settings popup shows the current status of each device.

      In the Detailed Device Settings popup:

      1. Review the device compatibility information.

      2. To change the distribution status of a device, click [Binary file / device checkbox].

        Note: Duplicate devices discovered when verifying app titles cannot be selected.
      3. To register changes and close the popup, click Save.
      4. To not register any changes and close the popup, click Cancel.
    3. To review detailed information about a file:

      1. Click [File's version ID, number, or name]

      2. Review the binary file detailed information.

      3. To hide the details, click [File's version ID, number, or name]
    4. To change information about the current version or upload a later version of an added binary file:
      1. Click the file's [Modify Pencil-icon].
      2. In the Add binary popup, change information and/or upload a binary file.  For details see Component binary file information.
    5. To delete an added binary file:
      1. Click the file's [Delete X-icon]
      2. In the Notice popup, click Yes
