App Publishing
Market your Android apps and Gear apps (with or without in-app items) in the Samsung Galaxy Apps store, your Theme apps in the Samsung Themes store, and your VR apps in the Oculus app store.


You can publish (register, distribute, promote, sell, and manage) the following apps through the Samsung ecosystem: 




Gear wearable device apps

  • Distributed in the Gear section of the Galaxy Apps store.

  • Gear watch face apps

    • Based on the Tizen OS.

    • Can be generated without coding using the Gear Watch Designer tool.

    • Can be created with Tizen OS coding.

    • Can sell in-app items.

  • Gear apps

    • Based on the Tizen OS.

    • Created with Tizen OS coding.

    • Can sell in-app items.






Android apps for mobile devices

  • Distributed in the Galaxy Apps store.

  • Android apps 

    • With an enhanced UX that  integrates one or more Samsung SDKs, such as Galaxy SDKs.

    • That sell in-app items.

    • That provide users with Single Sign On through Samsung Account.

  • Edge panel apps

    • Users access app in Galaxy Apps through their Settings > Edge screen.

    • Provide quick access to news, apps, contacts, and more.

You can also publish your Gear VR apps in the Oculus Store:

To publish your Android, Edge, and Theme apps:

  1. Register your app with the Samsung Seller Office, which includes app binary files, product files, information, and graphic images and videos.

  2. If your app sells in-app items, register the items to your app.

  3. Submit your app, and its in-app items, for validation certification.

  4. After passing the first testing phase:

    • Your app is distributed in the Samsung Galaxy Apps store (Android and Edge apps) or the Samsung Themes Stores.

    • The download and sale of apps and the sale of in-app items are enabled.

    • Caution: Do not change any app registration entries; doing so will cancel your app validation and stop its distribution and support.

  5. After passing the final, second testing phase:
