Introduction to in-app item purchase and payment processes provided by Samsung In-App Purchase

Samsung In-App Purchase (IAP) is a payment service that enables you to sell paid in-app items (including consumables, non-consumables, and subscriptions) from your free or paid Android™ app that is distributed through the Samsung Galaxy Apps store.


To sell in-app items from your Android app:

  • To get help with this procedure and other issues, including personal help from Samsung engineers, join the Samsung Developer Program using the JOIN NOW link at the bottom of the page.
  1. Get a commercial Seller Office account to distribute free and paid Android apps that sell in-app items.

  2. Design your app to support in-app items:

    1. Ensure your app and its in-app items follow Samsung policies and requirements.

    2. Get and use the latest in-app item data, such as current price and previous user purchase data.

    3. Provide users with the ability to review and purchase your in-app items.

    4. Design how user purchases will initiate the Samsung IAP API calls.

    5. After user purchases, design how to manage purchase results (such as adjusting the UX).

  3. Develop your app:

    1. Integrate Samsung IAP functionality into your app.

  4. Register your app and its in-app items and get them validated in Seller Office:

    1. Register your app and upload your app binary file that integrates Samsung IAP.

    2. Register your in-app items to your app. 

    3. Submit your app and all of its in-app items for validation.

  5. Manage the marketing of your app and its in-app items through Seller Office:

  • Review and change their distribution countries and mobile devices.

  • Review and change their pricing.

  • Review your finances.
